Last week, we were proud to officially open the doors to our new Manchester office – now serving as CDW’s Northern HQ. While we technically moved in at the end of 2024, we waited for the summer to celebrate properly. The event brought together an incredible mix of partners, customers, and coworkers to mark this exciting milestone.

Hosted by our Managing Director Penny Williams, the celebration included a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Chris Corley, CDW’s President International and Vice Chair, officially marking the next chapter of our journey in the North.
Manchester’s reputation as one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech hubs made it the natural choice for our Northern HQ. With a thriving £5 billion digital ecosystem and a strong culture of innovation, the city continues to attract talent, investment, and opportunity. From AI to enterprise transformation, Manchester is shaping the future -and we’re proud to be part of it.

Our decision to establish a permanent presence here was about more than just geography. It was about embedding ourselves in a community that shares our ambition, investing in local talent, and building even stronger partnerships across the region.
The event also gave us the opportunity to spotlight our commitment to giving back. We shared our continued support for The King’s Trust Million Makers programme, which empowers young people through enterprise.

Leading that charge is Chris Day, a long-standing CDW team member whose journey from London to Peterborough and now Manchester reflects the very spirit of growth and leadership we champion. Chris who is Chair of our new fundraising team, the CDWarriors, and is already inspiring others to get involved.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this new chapter. We’re excited about what lies ahead - for CDW, for Manchester, and for the future we’re building together.
