At CDW, we make technology work so people can do great things. We enable opportunities and uplift them with technology. Community care and giving are core to our company culture and part of what makes CDW the company it is.

In 2023, CDW proudly started our support of The Sick Children’s trust. The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of their ten ‘Homes from Home’. Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing families with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the hospital means they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry about.

In The Wizard of Oz Dorothy says ‘there’s no place like home’ but home can feel very far away when your child is in hospital. The Sick Children’s Trust creates a ‘home from home’ for families. That’s why the theme for their 40th anniversary celebrations is Ruby Slipper.

Guests at the Ruby Slipper Gala are sure of a night full of spectacular entertainment with theatrical musical performances, a magician, and more alongside a drinks reception, delicious gourmet dinner, and silent and live auctions.

Jane Featherstone, CEO of The Sick Children’s Trust said:

We’re incredibly grateful to CDW for their amazing support and generous sponsorship of our Ruby Slipper Gala event. Our ‘Homes from Home’ are a vital lifeline for families with a seriously ill child in hospital, giving them a clean and comfortable place to stay and kind, caring staff to listen when they really need it. CDW’s support means we can help more families in need, so thank you.”
