Last Saturday saw the final race of the Britcar Championship 2021ld at Donington Park. Like all the races we’ve seen Aaron Morgan and teammate Bobby Trundle compete in, this was adrenaline fuelled with every car going for a class podium. As such, all drivers and crew members were determined to give their maximum efforts in the hopes to claim the championship silverware.

Aaron and Bobby took to the track in the final races of the Endurance Category, driving the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4. The duo had a lot to push for as they were 4th in the championship standings going into the final race weekend. However, the pair did not let this set them back and Bobby and Aaron secured a fantastic P1 in the qualifiers foroth of the afternoon’s races, giving them a strong start against the tough competition.

Racing rarely has a smooth road ahead with unpredictable roadblocks threatening to hinder the drivers’ chances of success at any given time. In the first race, Aaron and Bobby performed well until a safety car deployment pushed the pair back down the field. After sound driving and perseverance, the pair managed to finish at a respectable sixth place.

Reflecting on the season, Team BRIT Founder Dave Player said: “Wow, what a way to end the 2021 season. Our drivers and crew gave absolutely everything and thoroughly deserved the podium finishes they achieved.”

Also looking back on the season and what lies ahead for 2022, Aaron Morgan writes: “I am incredibly proud of what the team and I have been able to achieve this season. It’s beyond what anyone expected, including myself! None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of CDW UK, I am so grateful to them for believing in me. Yesterday, Team Brit revealed their plans to enter Bobby and I into the 2022 British GT Championship in a Mclaren 570S, at the Leadenhall building in London. I can barely contain my excitement to get the chance to drive this amazing car in the top level of British GT racing.”

A huge congratulations to Aaron Morgan and Team BRIT for a successful season that saw many highs and lows. You’ve truly kept us on the edge of our seats with each race, but we’re thrilled to see you and Bobby finish off at a remarkable and well-deserved 3rd place.
