CDW's Phil Doye shares plans to take part in the 2016 CEO Sleepout

On Thursday 17 March Phil Doye is taking part in the 2016 CEO Sleepout to raise money for UK charity Action for Children.

CEO Sleepout is a brand new charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty. Their fight is funded with money raised by executives who sleep outdoors for one night to raise sponsorship from their business contacts and friends.

CEO Sleepout was officially formed in December 2013 by Andy Preston after two successful CEO Sleepout events were held at Middlesbrough FC and Newcastle Utd FC in collaboration with Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation. Trustees of the charity include Niklas Tunley of business law firm Endeavour Partnership and Martin Houghton Brown CEO of homelessness charity De Paul UK.

Speaking before the challenge, Phil said "Not many people realise that 80,000 youngsters find themselves homeless in the UK every year. CDW has worked closely with Action for Children on various initiatives to help build a better outcome for such individuals. The CEO Sleepout is one of these initiatives and I am looking forward to spending a night under the stars with fellow business leaders to change the trajectory of these vulnerable young people's lives. The CEO Sleepout is a unique event, inviting CEOs to come together and sleep out to raise money and awareness of youth homelessness.

Please sponsor me in my mission to support these young people who are entitled to be and feel safe and have the chance to reach their full potential."
