CDW, the UK's leading mid-market IT provider and CRN's 2009 Reseller of the Year, has been awarded a place on the new Buying Solutions framework agreement for Commoditised IT Hardware & Software after a rigorous tendering and evaluation process. Under the new Buying Solutions framework agreement, CDW has been approved to supply both Infrastructure Hardware and Desktop & Peripheral hardware to organisations throughout the public sector for the next three-and-a-half years
Buying Solutions, the national procurement partner for UK public services and an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce in the Treasury, provides public sector organisations with a professional procurement service, enabling them to deliver improved value for money in their commercial activities. The Commoditised IT Hardware & Software Framework Agreement will provide Government departments and the wider public sector with a fast, efficient route to procure value for money IT products and services.
In support of the Government's goal of becoming an EU leader in sustainable procurement, CDW's winning tenders made much of its sustainable procurement expertise and its quality management ISO certifications, which ensure reliability and consistency of service. The rigorous tender process was fully compliant with EU procurement regulations.
"The Commoditised IT Hardware and Software framework agreement has been developed in consultation with our public sector customers and structured so that a wide range of IT products and services can be quickly and efficiently procured via an EU-compliant route to market.
