The Supplier Manager will be responsible for ensuring the performance of service delivered by CDW’s supplier base in order to provide a commercial  advantage within cost, risk and service parameters.

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 1 years’ experience in same/similar role
  • Proven successful development, negotiation & management of a supplier base
  • To be able to demonstrate solid technical knowledge and experience in implementing supplier/vendor management concepts, methodology and tools
  • Can demonstrate effectively building and maintaining supplier relationships, developing strong business connections at all  levels, with the ability to confidently set direction and persuade peers/other stakeholders
  • Experience in autonomously completing supplier evaluations and preparing RFPs, relating to tender processes
  • Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills in order to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communications with all  levels of the organization up to and including senior executive management
  • Ability to work in a high activity/fast paced environment while  managing associated pressure and prioritising workload in line with business objectives
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, juggle many tasks at once and quickly shift from one situation or task to another
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability  to facilitate  meetings and effectively  lead discussions
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Strong analytical skills
  • An understanding of project management methodologies
  • Quality management
  • Continually develop and improve reporting on supplier base, in line with business requirements
  • Proficient at analysing information and developing strategic plans based on findings
  • Experience in continual process improvement, both internally and externally with a supplier base
